Rémy MICHELIN introduces his latest book The Great Epic to coincide with the 75th anniversary of the French Air Force, written in French and English.
This aeronautical photographer is a regular publisher of works with comparative photographs such as De Plumes et de Fer. He transports us back evoking the memory of our 1914-1918 aviators, highlighting the similarity of 75 original pictures dating back to the First World War with 75 identical pictures of today’s French Air Force. Pierre-Alain ANTOINE is contributing to this moving book by writing the stories behind the pictures as well as the introductory texts on the three main roles of French military aviation, namely Reconnaissance, Bomber, Fighter (French/English).
The book, illustrated with personal quotations from today’s pilots, demonstrates their emotion towards the Veterans and highlights the technical evolution of our military aviation and respect for our still unchanged traditions. NOTHING HAS CHANGED!
